What Does Clean Water Provide?
1 in 10 people worldwide do not have access to a pure water source, so the very thing that should sustain life is putting theirs at risk.
Children spend hours every day walking to get water for their family. When they have a water source closer by, the time spent walking can instead be spent in school.
Women are no longer spending hours to walk for a limited amount of water; instead, they can spend that time starting a small business, growing crops, etc.
What is our approach to solving this problem?
We partner with two inspiring organizations that are providing long term water service, as well as hygiene education, and we fund their initiatives. Living Water finds the communities that need water most all around the world and mobilizes the local people to cultivate sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene programs, as well as pouring into people's spiritual needs. Water for Good focuses on improving lives in one of the world’s most neglected and unstable countries, the Central African Republic. They works collaboratively, in long-term partnership, with communities in central Africa, empowering people with sustainable access to clean water, transformational sanitation principles, and improved agricultural resources.
